Split Payments Not Working - MS Account credit does not combine

I saw a thread about this problem with "Halo Split" That question unfortunately was not correctly answered. The answer used to work in the previous months, but currently it is not working. Went to purchase Rock Band Blitz yesterday with the games sale. The
4.5$ in my account was grayed out and when I went to confirm purchase, it did not ask to use the credit left in my account. My Credit Card was charged in full. Must be a bug. Please fix!

Split cost?

Through Live the system will allow a split payment between a credit card and Microsoft account balance, but not two credits cards.

 

Purchasing on Xbox One

Definitely not right, my payments have always split, any credit left on the console is used and then the rest goes on your card

 

Did you purchase the game on the console or the website? So far as I know the website is still not set up to use credits on an account. They can only be used through the console.

 

Only through the console - It's the only way I've been purchasing - it just doesn't want to use my credit.

 

Did you ever get refunded?

 

Didn't bother requesting a refund. More sales = more spending I ended up spending reg. cash anyway so it worked out alright for me. But it seemed to have been fixed as it worked fine several days alter when I tried again. -

 

I had the same problem with Perfect Dark. The web site says to use your card and it will ask if you want to split. Not true. It just charged my card. I contacted customer service who told me that "certain publishers opt out of split purchases". Huh???
This makes absolutely no sense. It's MS that doesn't allow splits on some purchases. The problem is there is no way to know until you go to checkout. They are refunding me for the purchase. But, they are still essentially holding my $7.50 hostage unless
I buy something for less value that I don't want.

 

I am having the same problem. over 12 games and non accept split payment. I smell mircosoft
[Mod Removed]! So I have a 3.75 credit and the only way to use it is to find something for that amount or less. Their answer: we are in a transition period to fix these with game creators. My response is that my account balance will expire.
If the company is experimenting around, then freeze the account until it is fixed at the very least!
