Split payment ask for full price

Heya,

I am trying to pre-order Monster Hunter Wilds and I wanna use my wallet credit and pay the rest with my Card as is shown in "Confirm Payment" window. But when I click "Buy" my Card token asks me to pay full price via card instead of just the part of it.

Is this alright? Or is there some specific trick to paying part with wallet and the rest with card?

Unfortunately, split payment is not an option when it comes to pre-ordering a game. It is because pre-order payments are collected to the payment instrument used such as a card 7-10 business days before the games release date. This is if you will use a credit card/debit card.

And if you decided to use a gift card/wallet credit the full price will be collected from it because it will be charged automatically on the pre-order date.

I hope this answers your question as to why split payment isn't an option when pre-ordering a game.

You can split the payment through your console, but once you've clicked confirm purchase that's it, that means you bought the game. A message will pop up asking you if you want to split the payment, if you click cancel, the full price will be charged from
your CC.

Normally, in order to initiate a split payment you have to start off the transaction with your currency as the main payment option. For example, you would initiate the purchase with your insufficient amount of currency. Once the system recognizes that you
do not have enough funds to pay full price with your currency, you will be asked "How would you like to pay for the rest".

At that point, you can choose any one of your payment instruments to complete the purchase. Hope this helps!
