I would give it a good day or two before you try to turn it on and play with it again to let it really dry out. And if there is sticky residue inside of it from the soda, I would get a slighty damp cloth and wipe it out to remove any leftover, dried soda
if you can. Of course, make sure the console is completely unplugged first. After wiping it out the best that you can, I'd let it sit for 2-3 days, even. If there is soda inside of any of the hardware, it might take a while to dry up. I would definitely not
try to plug it in and turn it back on if there is a chance for wet soda still inside, as it can cause something to short circuit or other electrical problems. Make sure it's dried out on the inside, wait a few days, and then try again. If not, there will be
some console sales and deals coming up with the E3 sales, so at least there is that. Good luck!

given that orange soda is a sticky, sugary substance, at this point I doubt if drying it will help, the damage may have already been done/ As suggested I think sending it in for repair may be your best option. Also realize that since you opened the case
you have voided any warranty that may have been in place.

If you looking for a prayer u need to be patient dont try to turn on so much i knw this sounds weird but worked for me with cell phones but I would put in a bucket of raw dry rice and the rice absorbs all the moister.....the xbox is aslot bigger but at this
point you should try anything before dropping more big bucks

It sounds like you'll need to get a replacement of either new or used. E3 is coming up so there should be some sales as well.
