spend amount to level up my vip

I was want to make this clear

to reach level 1 I need to spend $400

then to reach level 2 I then need to spend another $700 (total so far $1100)

Then for level 3 (my current level) need to spend another $1200 (which will now total $2300)

now for level 4 (for which I'm 99% at and $14 dollars away from also not including how close I was to this last year before I was reset) spend another $2000 which is a total of $4300

and finally level 5 spend another $2800 which will make a total of $7100.

so if you could please clarify this for me please, and also to not lock this as I will have a couple more questions for you once I get my answer on this.

    Thank you.

    :)

My xbox rewards vip star did not go up after spend $100 promotion

You had a promotion for Xbox Rewards a little while ago and it was to spend $100 and go up a VIP star. Well, I was VIP star Level 2 before, still am now. Please fix this and move me to VIP level star 3. I spent the required amount, I made sure of this,
and double checked to make sure I was taking tax off my calculations and I still made the amount.

spend amount to level up my vip

Not exactly. You've got the amount per level correct, but once you reach level 1, you need to spend another $300 to get to $700. Then another $500 to get to $1200, etc. Basically to get to level 5, you need to spend a total of $2800 in a year, not $7100.
But your progress resets each year. So say you are at level 4 when ranks reset, instead of spending another $800 to reach level 5, you would need to spend at least $2000 before the next reset in order to stay at level 4 or spent $2800 to reach level 5.

    Hello Dark z00key,

    As stated on our FAQ:

How is my MyVIP Star Rank determined?

Your MyVIP Star Rank is determined by your pre-tax spend amount made on eligible content in the Xbox Store. Your 2015 MyVIP Star Rank is determined by the total amount that you spent in the previous year from 1 September 2014 to 31 August 2015, or starting
from the time when you enrolled in Xbox Live Rewards. Here are the current spend thresholds for each level, which can also be viewed in our Terms and Conditions.

    One Star - $400

    Two stars - $700

    Three Stars - $1200

    Four Stars - $2000

    Five Stars - $2800

Purchase more eligible items and track your progress towards your next VIP Star on the MyRewards page.

This is the total eligible spending required for each star's breakpoint. For example, Five Star only requires $2800 in total eligible spending, not another $2800 in additional spending, as Smwutches says.

I don't think I'm getting the right credit

Also to add, the percentage you see on the VIP levels is the percent to the total amount you have to spend for that level, not just the $300 between levels. So the 81% would be 81% towards $1200.

    how does myVip rank change

As long as you're signed up for the Rewards program, you are eligible for VIP. VIP status is based of your star level, or how much you spend in the marketplace. Everything you purchase (except for subscpriptions, in-game consumables, and preorders) will
count towards your star level. You can see how much you need to spend for each level at
http://rewards.xbox.com/terms-and-conditions Once you reach 1 star level you will earn rebates on purchases you make each month (with the exception of the purchases already listed and any purchases
that count towards another offer on the site).

Ranks reset each year, so in order to maintain VIP status, you have to spend either the same amount or more each year in order to keep your level or raise up to another level.

    i have a question

Yes. VIP ranks reset each year on January 1. In order to maintain or raise your level, you need to spend the same amount or more each year.
