    Spencer: Digital Sharing and Gifting may come to Xbox One


    Phil Spencer has said that Digital Sharing and gifting may one day return to Xbox One.

    “We are now fully heads down on thinking about and building out the future of our digital marketplace to enable what people would expect, and hopefully some things that will delight them beyond their expectations,” Spencer told Gamespot.

    “I know when I say this I always get beat up, but I think some of what we were trying to say last summer was right.

    “We understand what games you own and who you are and how you move around and who you might want to loan rights to your games or gift your games to,” Spencer said.

    “We totally believe in that future. And any other marketplace you play in, these kind of mechanisms are out there.”

    Inless prices drop a bit then I can't see many going digital, all the games I've brought I would of brought digitally if they weren't charging 10-15 quid more than other

    I'm wondering that this so called "BIG" announcement at E3 is something to do with Family/Game Sharing? Mind you, the rumour I've seen floating about more and more recently about this announcement is Xbox Live will become free, again though, more ifs, whats
    and maybes.

    I agree though, just announce it when they know it will definitely happen.

    See now I will commend Nintendo for something here, that play feature they had were you could play a friends game if you didn't have a cartridge, was cool. I would like to see that here too. Joining a friends game to play off against them or with them. Am
    I making sense with that?

    its a great idea if they did it right and priced it rite. i dunno bout u guys in the US but in the UK they charge more to buy the digital than the actual disk so atm its a no brainer to go with the disk instead but if they could equal or undercut the stores
    they could easilly be onto a winnder with this n if they added a marketplace to trade the games back like steam does it could be the massive step into next gen that we were promised and expected
