Spectrum Botnet Letter

Are you sure the email isn't just spam or a scam? The Xbox doesn't get viruses or botnets. You might want to do a thorough scan of your devices to make sure though.

I would recommend contacting Spectrum to get a bit more details on the situation to help identify the asset that they are detecting. Malicious software can be very tricky and evasive, so I'm a bit curious as to why you're fully ruling out your computer
or phone? It's very unlikely that the console, which is a closed system (unless it's modified) would be infected with malicious software. So get some more details, see what kind of traffic they were triggered on, or if there are certain times that it's detected,
verify it's not spam/a scam, and if needed we can help troubleshoot from there.

No service is immune to a DDOS attack, a big enough Botnet can take down any service. All microsoft can do is add more servers but if their Botnet is big enough that won't hrlp.

Assuming that he is a simple hacker and not using a botnet, you should actually be able to connect after being offline for anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour. If this is a seriously extensive attack (through a botnet which I previously mentioned) and you
are truly unable to connect for a long period of time, please contact your ISP so that they can change your IP and you will be able to connect to the internet.
