Speaking to Hancock as the Silver Shroud (possible spoilers)

**POSSIBLE SPOILERS**

I've searched and searched for an answer to this glitch in the game. The only fixes I have seen are where people are able to recruit Hancock as a companion and talking to him as the Silver Shroud through the Talk option when addressing him.

However, my problem seems to be worse than that; I cannot even recruit him as I don't get the option! The only two things he says to me are shouldn't I see to another ghoul (Bobbi, who I killed) and about some group of enemies (I think, can't remember
as at work at the moment) down in 'Southy', I think he is saying. I have completed Pickman Gallery as some have suggested but this has made no difference to my issue.

It's extremely annoying. My previous save before denying Hancock as my companion is approximately 3 hours previous to my current progress and I don't think I have the energy to do it all over again collecting weapons, dropping this, dropping that, crafting
this, crafting that etc. I enjoy the game, but only enjoy what is new, not what I did hours previous!

I hate having unfinished quests, and I also have the Silver Shroud suit and hat taking up valuable weight in my inventory. I cannot drop it as it says I cannot drop quest items!

If anyone has a workaround this issue without being able to recruit Hancock as a companion, please do share. If not, then I really hope Bethesda picks up on this and issues a fix to at least get Hancock as my companion so I can talk to him as the Silver
Shroud via the Talk option. I was thoroughly enjoying this mission but have been let down by it at the very end :-(

I'd be up for more silver shroud stuff, kinda like a noir piece where u play out more silver shroud stuff, i loved that, and maybe perks that would tie in with that character. I also liked the mission with the ship thats crashed into the roof of a building, can't remember what it's called again, with the robo crew?

another obvious one would be some kellog missions?

 

I have a similar problem with Hancock, I met up with Bobbi No-Nose before completing a miscellaneous quest involving Hancock ( Pickman Gallery)"Return to Hancock." However doing Bobbi's quest seems to trump over this quest, it is still marked in my Pip-boy
Data and is still marked on the map the only thing that I can do is recruit Hancock and unable to complete the quest. No matter if I deny or tell him to join in the dialog select menu. The only known fix to get the script to work is by reverting to an earlier
save. Like you I feel it not worth my time to start over, especially now that I put like 12 more hours in the game. I'll wait for a patch.(if ever a fix occurs)

As it was said to me I will pass on to you, "That sucks man [frown emoticon] Bethesda really -boink- up with the amount of bugs in the game man" I feel there are many others similar to our issue that will be worked out over time.

 

I just got to Goodneighbor, but I have a bad impression of Hancock. I'm sticking with either Dogmeat or Valentine.

Guys, there is a patch coming out next week to fix all the major bugs.

I was just mentioning that I ran into an issue with Hancock as well. Although I blame Bobbi.

 

Now August 2016 and it still ain't fixed./
