    Speaker Setting and Headset Setting


    I don't have an audio receiver that processes Dolby Atmos. I do have Astro A50's that work with Dolby Atmos. I would like to set the headphones to Dolby Atmos and speakers to bit stream out and Dolby Digital. When I select Dolby Atmos for headphones it
    seems to override the speaker settings and is greyed out. How can I use both speaker and headphone settings with different options?

    Are speakers disabled when a guest is logged it? Even though I have preferences set to output to both speakers and headset -- the audio only goes to one headset.

    If i set it to speaker, I can't hear anybody talking....

    Make sure you have Party Chat output set to Headset & speakers.

    Go to Settings > Volume & audio output >
    Party chat output     > Set to Headset & speakers

    Which astro headset is it? Do you have sound set to come through the headset and the speakers of your TV? Or just the Headset?
    This is the solution for me. In Settings > System > Audio and set the party chat output to be either speaker or headset, not both. I stream so I have to set it to Speaker so the party audio is sent along with the HDMI signal, otherwise I would use Headset
    to be able to adjust the sound between game and party, as you described trying.

    Let us know if that's not the case, and we can troubleshoot a bit further.

    Check your Settings - Display & sound - Volume section. Look at Party chat output and make sure it is either set to Speakers or Headset & Speakers. If it is set to Headset only then that's probably why your Elgato isn't getting your party chat audio.
