" Spark Of Light " in The Taken King

The minumum level required to play Destiny's upcoming expansion DLC is level 25 and the " Spark Of Light " is a one time use consumable that will instantly boost any character that is less than level 25.

Furthermore, the player will also be provided with appropriate gear

What are your thoughts and comments in regards to this?

Personally, I am happy and really glad that Bungie / Activision did this to that the player base of Destiny will get bigger

..........

With that being said, I also feel like Bungie / Activision should also give the players that have been playing ever since the game launched a TRIPLE XP bonus on everything for the first 7 days of The Taken King.

Please put away your torches and pitch forks, but this offer will not be extended to new players because they are already being given the Spark Of Light consumable so that they can immediately play The Taken King content with free level 25 appropriate gear.

In conclusion, I agree 1000% that Bungie / Activision should give the Spark Of Light to new players. However, I do think that veteran players should be given the TRIPLE XP for the first seven days of TTK as a " Thank you " gesture.

Missing item

I bought the taken King for Xbox one and don't receive the spark of light that is used to boost my character to 25.

 

Multiple Discs Possiblity?

True, but it's getting there and it's only a matter of time.

 

Personally i think Bungie should have given all Vanilla Destiny and season pass owners "the Taken wallet" to me for free after giving me so little to start with. Just my thoughts though. If you are still enjoying it great and dont mind paying more.

 

After replaying Borderlands I came to realize that Destiny is a poor hack of a FPS...... I invested 360+ hours (small compared to many) into Destiny.... and wish I could get my time back. Destiny is like crack.... evil and addicting... and at the end of
the day unsatisfying..... complete garbage after all is said and done. To replay missions over and over again.. really?? I feel dooped and silly.

Borderlands has many missions, levels, and 4 different character choices (oh so similar to Destiny, but Bungie got lazy and offers only 3).... Destiny is milking the wallets of its followers (which.. whatever... your $$ do as you like)....

For any hype to a unfinished and limited game should be frowned on... Destiny is what I flushed down the toilet this morning.... the moment they took away game options after the first DLC was the icing on the cake for me.

I had a look on the forums not that long ago and it's quite an interesting read also

 

lol, its a bitter, poisonous place, but they do have an occasional good post, but be very wary when you venture in lol.

Its funny considering how social the game is, and how many nice people I have met, assumption is the mother of all forums.

 

I never venture too far into that forum. To be fair, a lot of other official forums are just as bad, if not worse!

Even though I've said many a time, Destiny was a bit of a disappointment for me, maybe that's the wrong word, it wasn't quite what I was expecting but like you said, it's a very social game. I know a fair few that play it more or less all of the time. For
them it's fun and that's what gaming is all about. It's just some have fun on this game, others on another.

 

Very true about other peoples forums are just as bad, I don't understand what a community managers role is, if not to nurture the community

I played it all the time for the social side, but refuse to fuel the fires of bungie and activision with more money, until i find more value in the actual game.

 

Personally, I wish that 1-time use consumable would get me to lvl. 30, since that's what I need for previous expansions - currently, it does me no good, since I'm already lvl. 28. That being said, maybe I could use it on 1 of my other 2 characters, which
I hardly ever play (they're both less than lvl. 10)...

I've seen a lot of gamers complain about what Bungie are doing regards DLC etc. To be very honest I still don't know the whole story, I've just not read too much into it only to know there seems to be quite a few unhappy players out there.

 

I am not complaining, but I wouldn't have purchased the last DLC if I had waited and not bought the season pass (or whatever you want to call it), for people that are happy to pay the money, thats fine for them, but I just don't think its good value, any
other game would be less as it is , IMO its still very much in beta stage, and they still haven't found the right path yet and I doubt the next installment will confirm that either.

But whatever we'll see.......

 

A true "Spark of Light" would be a mass refund and re-release of the actual full game.
