Spam...

As I stated in a previous post, the only ways to report this spam is via the console. You can block the person both on the console or by going to the message on Xbox.com and blocking from there.

As for phone support sending people to the forums to report these tags, that is incorrect. Posting the Gamertags on the forums like that is not allowed. The Enforcement Team is confined to one area of the forums where they respond to users asking about their
suspension or banned status. That is the only place they post.

Official Xbox Support can be found in the Xbox 360 and Xbox One support sections of the forums. Forum moderators are volunteers from the community that monitor the forums and are not Xbox employees. I think that covers most everything.

 

Only idea I can come up with is put a restriction on new names that begin with this freebie gold 24/48/7 day membership..... They aren't allowed to send messages to other gold's until they themselves PAY with valid credit cards for a full year of gold membership??
Make it somewhat more difficult or have some kind of restriction until it's fully paid for and not through codes for 'trials'.

Its juts some spam messages block the sender, delete the message and move on.
