spam bots help

i have been getting messages from randoms advertising web sites. about 4 now from 4 different profile about the same web site. now i have already blocked and reported them though there isn't a option for this specific action. obviously now there is a need
for one. been with xbox live over10 years and it's saddens me that this kind of thing is happening now. does any one have any feedback and how to help stem the flow of these spammers

Also, you can change your privacy setting for communications to friends only and this will prevent these type of account from sending you messages.

You can also change your privacy setting to friends only to prevent these type of messages too

Hello, I've been asked by Xbox support to make a thread about spam bots spamming accounts (to bring it to the enforcement teams attention). Last night, I got similar messages from multiple gamertags banging on about live webcam shows. As kids use this service,
these spam bots need dealing with before they become a bigger issue. I have the gamertags and conversations in full, but not sure I can post the gamertags on the forum, as they could be hijacked accounts.

 

I literally was just coming in here to make a post like this. I just got hit with my 3rd scammer msg this week. Tao of the messages were for saferaffle and the other for gamerloans. @JonnyBgamer When you reported them what did you report them as? I'm not
sure if I should do voice communication's even though the msg is text or just report the name/gt.

I have received my 3rd scam message from SafeRaffle today. All I have found to do is list the website when reporting them under communication.

 

I was actually coming on her to report on the same website myself. I know that at least 3 of my XB1 friends have gotten the exact same spam mail that I have. There needs to be a way to filter these out.

 

Hey, everyone! You will want to report all of these users via your console. You can do so by going in to the message, highlight it, hit your Menu button, and then select Report. This will give you the option to report them for Message! Hopefully that helps
you all out.

I am also here to post about this same annoying problem. Day 4, account 4, reported x4, Irritation level 8! I see many similar threads, so I am guessing this is becoming a problem for a growing number of people. I hope this is fixed VERY soon! I would
think there would be a spam filters or at least an option to only accept messages from accounts older than... etc etc. Can the official support please forward that suggestion.

 

There is no point in reporting and blocking, this is one person or multiple people making new accounts intended to spam this crap and the profiles deleted soon after and the process will be repeated again and again. What is Microsoft going to do to stop
this spamming epidemic???

 

We, as Xbox Live users, need to be vigilant in reporting these messages/accounts. Yes - it's tedious to constantly report and the messages just seem to keep coming. But, reporting these messages gives the Xbox Live team the information they need to track
these people down and stop them.

Keep reporting these message. Not just for yourself - but for the good of the community as a whole!

 

doesn't work for me. they just create a different account then add me as a friend and send spam message.
