Spam Accounts Problem

Hello, fellow Xbox players. As most of you may know, sometimes we receive Xbox Messages from Spam Accounts, messages that say things like "FREE APPLE WATCH! Click the link below!". It's usually no problem and does not annoy me because this happens once probably
every 5 months.

But, ever since the last console update, something has gone seriously wrong. I updated my console about 4 days ago. Ever since then, probably over 60, not a typo, over SIXTY spam accounts
have added me. I can tell they are spam accounts because of their low amount of gamerscore, and that they've added like 20 other people within 2 minutes of each other. Now, I have blocked every single one of these spam accounts, but they just keep coming.
It's getting real annoying and tiresome to constantly keep blocking these new spammers, because sometimes over 10 spammers add me at once.

I don't know if the update did this or if spammers found a loophole to something, I really don't know. But what I do know is that this is really annoying and I would like a solution to stop these spammers from adding me and a fix to the problem entirely,
so spammers can be gone forever.

Staff is aware of an issue regarding to spamming as Mike Ybarra made a statement about it back in February. Unfortunately there's not much you can do besides report block and moving on. But seeing the large volume of spam accounts adding you, you could change
your privacy settings so that you only receives messages from friends.

You can do that via this link
account.xbox.com/Settings

Just select "Privacy" and scroll down to "Others Can"

From there select "Communicate with voice and text (Xbox 360: Voice and Text)" and set that to "Friends only"
