    Sounds Through Headset [Turtle Beach XO Seven's] NOT As Loud As Before.


    Hello I have the Turtle Beach XO Sevens and I have noticed that the sounds are not coming as loud as they were the other day. I have the volume right up to max and it's still fairly low. And before you ask.. yes I did ensure that the headset itself
    wasn't broken. I unplugged them from the XBOX Controller, hooked them up to my computer and the sounds perfect. So I changed the batteries in my controller and even updated my controller as well. I also went as unplugging the XBOX ONE to no improvement. This
    happens in GTA V, Assassin's Creed, and Black Ops 3. And all the sound settings (expect music) are set to the highest in each mentioned game. The only game that seems not affected is Super Meat Boy (Backwards Compatible).

    I went into the sound settings of the XBOX and every thing seems normal. So I changed nothing.

    Is anyone else having these issues? Is there a fix?

    There are 2 volume settings for your Turtle Beaches.

    Game volume and Game to Chat volume.

    Make sure your Game to Chat volume is turned up high and then your standard Game Volume should come through loud and clear.

    Thanks for the tip and reply Azrael008uk.

    After posting it seemed to have fixed itself. And now that I think about it.. it's pretty much like flipping a coin. Where sometimes the volume is faint no matter what I do.. come back a little while later and it's back to normal. The only thing I can think
    of that might be part of the problem is the adapter. So I might get a new one after the holidays if this keeps happening.

    Like I said.. I know its NOT the XBOX or the headset because both work perfectly (when I connect the headset to a computer).

    Again thanks for the tip.. I'll have to test that out to see if it makes a difference.

    Are you using a controller with the chat adaptor? If so I would recommend getting one with the 3.5mm jack, the settings are on the console, in the side settings panel, is much much easier to control the balance than the adaptor, and IMO much better quality.

    Adapter update ??

    I have turtle beach XO seven. Power, sound and chat are all through the adapter. The sound I believe is virtual and all though the quality is OK the surround is dreadful.

    IRB, I'm really not trying to offend anyone here, but if my question was that simple then why would I use somewhere near 300 words to ask it? Therefore, there's more underlying my question than a textbook definition as things are never simple.

    The word "stereo" applies to the majority of gaming headsets, but all of those headsets are capable of producing simulated surround sound due to the way they receive the translated signals from the Xbox. (Surround Sound Processors/ RF Transmitters. broken
    record here    .)

    For Example,

    Turtle Beach was convinced that their XO Seven headset would provide Surround Sound. Before they were forced to change it their website said of the XO Seven, “Be surrounded. Cinematic Surround Sound for your
    games and entertainment.”     The XO Seven is a Stereo Headset capable of producing simulated surround sound. But never once, even now, does Turtle Beach describe this headset with the word "stereo." This is because the word "stereo" can be misleading,
    and would not sell. Yet, Microsoft uses the word "stereo" to describe the piece of hardware that the TB XO Seven is supposed to be paired with. The result is confusion because those two never reconcile.

    There's not a lot of clarity with that is there?
