    Has anyone come up with a good way to dampen the sound of the power supply on the xbox 1? I made a foam rubber case that worked pretty well, but the adapter got very hot and made me worry about the fire hazard.

    Noisy XB1 PSU driving me craaaaazy!

    That's nutso the XB1 deleting everything. Sucks. But PSU - Power Supply Unit ... doubt that's responsible

    Soundproofing power supply xb1

    If you are having trouble with your power adapter making noise,then you need to unplug it from the wall for 5-10 seconds. That should reset the power supply,however you should never wrap the power supply in anything because it needs to ventilate to keep
    from overheating. The noise you are hearing is the cooling fan in the power brick. If you continue to have problems with it then contact ms to arrange for a warranty replacement.

    Thank you Spike. I believe the sound level is normal -- I just prefer silence when the Xbox is off. I guess I'll just have to disable the fast boot feature.
