    So I went to the Polk website for spec's on the N1 soundbar. It supports Dolby Digital, so I just changed my X1 settings from Uncompressed stereo to Bitstream out.

    Can you please provide information what exact soundbar model you have? That way we can try to find the manual for the soundbar and check the requirements that are needed for the soundbar to work correctly with Atmos.

    Soundbar connection problems.

    This is common for soundbars when you have them to loud, they have Auto shutoff protection. If possible on that soundbar, lower the bass. If you know its not to loud, id suggest exchanging it for a new one, soundbar may be defective.

    The hdmi in port on the Xbox One is for plugging in TV boxes, not for plugging in soundbars, as the signal goes in, not out. Your best bet is to use a optical spdif cable from the Xbox to your soundbar, if your soundbar supports optical spdif.

    XBOX To TV HDMI, TV to Soundbar HDMI (ARC)
