    Soundbar connection problems.

Apologises if this is the incorrect place to post this.

I've just purchased a LG NB3530A sound bar, its connect directly to the Xbox one using a optical cable, it works exactly as it should except that after 25 minutes of watching/playing anything, the sound bar switches off.

I've read the manual and it say's if the sound bar does not detect any external power source i.e TV, Blu-ray player or Xbox after 25 minutes it will automatically switch off. For some reason, even though there is sound coming from the sound bar from the
    Xbox, it still switches off.

I've tried playing with the auto power functions on the Xbox's settings and on the sound bar itself, nothings prevents it from switching off.

Any help would be much appreciated as the sound is great!

Also, before the suggestion is made, the TV doesn't have a optical port.

    Thanks, Shaun

    :)

XBOX one X and Yamaha YSP-5600 connection

Hi, could anyone help me with connection issue between Xbox one x and soundbar yap-5600 - if Xbox is connected directly to the soundbar (hdmi1) and soundbar to 4K tv a1 Sony (arc hdmi3), then Dolby Atmos is supported but HDR not.

In case of direct connection Xbox with tv (hdmi1) and tv with soundbar (arc hdmi3), hdr works but Dolby Atmos doesn?t.

Is there any solution to have them both working? How should I connect all those devices?

    Many thanks for your help!

    Regards,

    Krygu

    Help needed

Hi all I'm after some help. I have got my sky HD box connected to my xbox one and until a few minutes ago that was connected to my soundbar via HDMI then into TV. I have a samsung TV and samsung soundbar both with anynet which for some stupid reason defaults to optical even thoug it's connected via HDMI. Now I got fed up with having to switch my soundbar back to HDMI every time I turned my xbox on (it's set to turn everything on at once) so I now have the xbox connected straight to the TV and to the soundbar via optical. The problem is now that my sound is great for the xbox but I have no sound whatsoever on sky now. I have played with all of the settings and have got no where. Any ideas??

    Soundbar connection problems.

This is common for soundbars when you have them to loud, they have Auto shutoff protection. If possible on that soundbar, lower the bass. If you know its not to loud, id suggest exchanging it for a new one, soundbar may be defective.

  5. For whatever reason ive noticed that a few devices ive tried dont notice activity if they are run through the xbox. It isnt a problem for most things but if theres a built in shut off you cant disable then you run into problems. I was going to suggest running
the optical from the TV, but, well that wont do you any good since your tv doesnt have it

ST790 - According to LG's site others have had similar problems with this sound bar that are only solved using stereo PCM. See the "Auto Power Down keeps shutting off the soundbar" thread under

I'm also experiencing the same issue with my Wireless Headset (Turtle Beach Ear Force XP510). The optical out of the Xbox One connects to a wireless transmitter and after 15 minutes or so of watching video, the headphones turn off as though it hadn't been
receiving any audio signal. I don't notice this issue with my other consoles. FWIW, HDMI output is disabled and I've set optical out to stereo.
