    Sound was working and now isn't


    Slightly different to those who hear nothing from the start. I have the One set up so I can play sound through either the TV or my surround sound. The other week it stopped working on the surround sound but worked fine the next time. Then, yesterday it didn't
    work on either and so I switched to stereo in the settings and it works. But I am missing out on the full experience doing this.

    I've tried turning it off at the wall for five minutes and no joy. Any suggestions apart from buying a PS4? Sound was working and now isn't :) Had the console a month.

    No Sound using Xbox One with Telekom Media Receiver X301T and watching TV

    I have checked different channels and they are working . Only sound isn't working.

    Xbox One Wired Mic not working

    I've tried both replacing batteries and plugging in controller and nothing seems to work. The Mic was working fine until I tried to restart console to get party chat working which it froze restarting so I hard reset it and now Mic isn't working but lights
    up makes sound but nothing else.

    How is your cabling done Maverick? Do you use HDMI and digital audio output? Where is your HDMI OUT connected to?

    HDMI from Xbox to TV. Another HDMI from TV to surround sound. And I think (will have to double check when I get home) optical cable from Xbox to surround sound.

    If you do have optical cable going to the Audio receiver then in the "Display & sound" settings, under "optical audio" select "5.1 compressed" and then on the audio receiver you should select the correct input as well. Let me know when you at home in here
    so we can sort it out.

    Just seems strange that it was working and now it stopped. But will do HairyBuzz. Thanks for replying and helping!

    Sound was working and now isn't

    Seemed to have solved it! I now have the HDMI going from the Xbox into the surround sound and a HDMI going from that to the TV. It seems to be much happier this way!

    Digital audio out problem

    EggsBoxJuan, no. Just the optical line. I've never had them connected.



    eGz x KorSakoff, the TV isn't involved. It doesn't have an optical out, only the Xbox 360 does. Before, it worked. Now it doesn't. The TV does have sound so I know it's not the Xbox's fault for not putting out sound. Before the TV and surround sound
    system would put out sound at the same time, but now it's just the TV.
