    Sound Stops Working


    I'm using my Xbox 360 as an extender to WMC. It is my one and only input into my home theater system and serves up live TV as well as Netflix and Amazon.

    My problem is when switching from app to app or to WMC, the sound cuts out. I think it is an HDMI handshake issue as if I turn off the TV, turn it back on, it works fine. The Xbox does not get power cycled.

    The Xbox is connected to a Denon switching HTR, than to a Panasonic plasma. It is just passing the signal through with this problem. I have tried changing various signals within Xbox, audio and display, nothing fixes the problem.

    Any thoughts?

    My sound stops working on destiny and i have to reboot my system and it comes back is this a server problem cause none of my other games have this problem..

    Game DVR with no sound

    Same problem just bought the system 2 days ago and been doing clips from titanfall and none of sound.. Along with my headset sometimes just stops working so maybe its just titanfall in general

    Sound Stopped WORKING

    I have had the same problem every now and then myself for HDMI. When this happens i just:

    (1.) turn off the TV and turn it back on and the sound is usually back.

    (2.) If not then i do have to usually turn off the System after being able to save of course lol, followed by turning the Xbox back on and than it works fine.

    I believe and i could be wrong so don't quote me on this but every now and then something seems to like messing up and causes the sound to just go out and it needs a helpful boost to start working again. If either of these options i gave you does not happen
    to work then i am sorry, but at that point i would actually call Microsoft to see what they have to say about the issue and any possible solutions or you could contact XboxSupport@ on Twitter if you have an account on there. Good luck with getting your sound
    back up and running.

    Have you done full reboot?

    Remove the power cable, then reconnect it and start the machine up
