    Sound settings constantly switch back to stereo uncompressed from 5.1 uncompressed.

    I'm running my Xbox One through an Onkyo AV amp and obviously want to get the best sound possible so I set the Xbox sound output to uncompressed 5.1.

    However, the xbox will sometimes randomly just reset itself back to Stereo uncompressed for no reason whatsoever. This is extremely annoying, as it means I have to keep going back into settings and switching it back. This happens almost every day.

    Has anybody else come across this?

    :)

    Weird Sound Issue -

    Have you tried going into the xbox ones sound settings and changing the sound setting.

    On my tv having 5.1 sound selected on any device causes problems with lip sync

    I've noticed there are 4 sound settings to choose from, Stereo uncompressed, 5.1 uncompressed, 7.1 uncompressed and bitstream out.

    On my tv the only one that works properly is stereo uncompressed. So you should check the settings and maybe try changing them.

  3. Dolby Digital decode & audio options

    It does or at least the next update does.

    Settings-->Display & sound:

    - Digital Audio:

    1. HDMI audio (stereo uncompressed, 5.1 uncompressed, 7.1 uncompressed, Bitstream out)

    2. Optical audio (Off, Stereo uncompressed, Bitstream out)

    -if u select Bitstream out (DTS Digital Surround, Dobly Digital)

    Try doing a hard reset on your console by holding the power button on the front of the console until it turns off, unplug it from the outlet for 30 sec, the plug back in and power back on. Hopefully this will fix the problem your having.
