Sound seems to be inverted

Starting a few weeks ago, whenever I am playing any game all sound coming from in front of me is now very low, can barely hear. But anything behind is extremely loud (deafening).

To talk to other characters I have to turn around and have them on my back to listen to what they say. And in games with lots going on, you can never tell what is going on, so loud.

I have changed TVs, HDMI inputs, cables, sound options on the console... nothing seems to work.

Any ideas are welcome! XBOX 1 X

Inverted sound

I have a Logitech G430 headset, when i use a splitter cable to plug it in to my controller all the sound i hear is inverted. does anyone know a solution?

upside down

It sounds like you inverted your Y access. Should be a setting in controls to either turn inverting Y access off or on. (select opposite of what you have now).

Thanks for the response. Let me clarify, my standard controller is the one that I dropped and it won't pick up sound through a mic. The elite Controller I didn't drop but the sound is inverted through a headset. At this point I'm just trying to get either
of them to work.

To answer your questions:

1) Yes I have tried with multiple controllers which unfortunately have their own problems, but the elite is the only one with inverted sound.

2) I have tried another headset and it still inverts the sound intermittently.

3) For the elite I'm testing the sound using a youtube video for testing stereo speakers. For the standard I'm testing in party chat and it doesn't recognise that I'm speakng.

I have also just replaced the 3.5mm female jack in the elite but it has made no difference.

I tried that link you provided but my controller is out of warranty.

Yeah, Seem to be quite a few bugs in this one, but nothing game breaking. For example, seems to me they inverted the health and defense values on the inventory screen. (Though I could be wrong, but it seems odd that I have 100k defense.)

Altage

Usually, the x axis isnt inverted. The Y axis has an invert option for FPS games, or other games that you may invert the Y axis.
