    Sound passthrough problem


    Hello,

    One other problem i face with my xbox one is the sound management.

    I have this configuration :

    TV box (freebox V5) => Xbox one => AV receiver (yahmaha RXV767) => TV

    The problem is that XBox constantly change the signla to 5.1 channel and don't let the initial sound signal passthrough. It means that AV receiver can not applyDSP (like dolby surround mixing, neocinema etc ...)

    To be more clear, here an example with stereo source :

    TV send stereo to XBOX => XBOX will send 5.1 signal but with only 2 channel => Receiver receive 5.1 and will not applys DSP because already in 5.1. But inside the signal it's only stereo !! Not 5.1 emulation possible

    I tried to change some parameters but i can only choose stereo or 5.1. So i am constantly in stereo or constantly in 5.1. I would like a working sound passthrough (raw signal)

    As complete passthrough is not working also (when xbox is off) it will be the minimum. We are already oblige to open xbox, we don't want sound abasement oblige ...

    TV audio/video out of sync

    yeah, game sound is always in sync. as is play to dlna media.

    just the TV passthrough seems effected.

    Xbox Series S Audio Passthrough is still broken and it doesn't work for Netflix.

    I have the same issue on my Xbox Series X. Audio passthrough works perfectly fine with Disney+, Amazon Prime and Plex. When it comes to Netflix, it doesn't activate passthrough creating audio problems while playing Atmos content. The titles display Dolby Atmos, but there is no voice, only background music and sounds are played.

    No sound and no TV with passthrough......

    I have not had any issue with the TV feature on the Xbox One but it sounds to me like this is an issue between the pieces of hardware. Your TV provider might not be fully compatible with the Xbox One just yet. Either that or your Cable Box or Xbox One may
    be faulty.

    Thanks. My Soundbar supports 4k Passthrough so I don't need to use optical - as far as I can tell
    Since your soundbar supports 4K Passthrough you should connect your Xbox One HDMI to the sound bar then connect the sound bar HDMI to your TV with HDMI 2.0 or 2.1 cables for best results like Leemur60 said.

    Series X Audio Passthrough still not working

    Were you able to resolve the issue? I'm having the same problem with passthrough not engaging properly. Was watching YouTube when the audio cut out and never came back. Only things that engage the DD+ decoder work, otherwise everything else has no sound, including my headset.
