Sound on xbox one consistently delayed

Ever since the update, the sound on my XBONE has either a consistent or a progressive delay that occurs when watching television. Sometimes closing the app and reopening fixes for a short period. Sometimes the whole system needs to be shut down. My kinect
stopped working right before the update, so it is hard to say if that is messing with the system. Pretty disappointed as a whole as we were early adopters on this. Almost 2 years to the day. A system like this shouldn't be having these issues. :\

Does this happen consistently or only on occasion? It sounds like you're just getting a delayed update on what your friend is doing, which may be connected to your network connection. If you check from the Xbox app, is there any change?

Hi Temp. Have they been consistently delayed by two days, or was it just one episode?

 

Same here. This problem started after the update and its driving me crazy. I've had the same setup and devices since the console was released...with no issues. But now after the update its like watching an old Godzilla movie.

 

Same issue with me. Tried re-seating the HDMI cables and even swapped cables but the problem persists. This is very frustrating. Any fix in sight?

This is absolutely ridiculous. I will no longer be using my Xbox until this is fixed. We can't even get any kind of help, answer or response from a tech

 

I mean it would be nice if someone from Microsoft would acknowledge this problem and post to say they are working on it.

Is anyone here on the Preview Program and did they see this problem and has it been fixed with any of the new updates?

I am pretty close to disconnecting my Xbox and running the cable straight to the TV

 

I agree with mosi...someone at least acknowledge this problem. And its not just live TV... Its everything. I don't get how this wasn't noticed in any testing prior to the big update...we can't be the only ones with this problem. I'm no longer running my
cable through the Xbox until it's fixed

 

Apparently a new bug fix is out today. Keeping fingers crossed that it fixes the audio sync issue

 

well the update did not do anything to address the sync issues. I hard reset after the update and initially it seemed to work but within a couple hours the sync issue was back. so frustrating

 

Same here. It seemed to be just a little off after the hard reset. Then it just gets worse after a few hours and its back to being wayyy off

 

Anybody come up with a fix?

 

I've tried everything..new HDMI/optical cable . Hard restarts. Messing with all of the audio/video settings. With no success. And I swear it's getting worse by the day. Everything worked just fine before the 'great new os update . We can't even get
a reply from Microsoft. What's the point of support forums when they don't even provide support.

 

stef - i might have found a possible solution or at least a workaround for my particular setup. I changed the TV input in the Xbox One settings to HDMI (It was set to Auto Detect.) I then changed my Audio settings in the Xbox One to 5.1 Uncompressed (It
was set to stereo) and I pretty much can't see any noticeable sync issues. I will keep an eye on it as in the past it has occasionally got back in sync only to fall back out but so far today it looks pretty good.
