Sound on stream and game clips

Please perform a power cycle reset, follow these steps:

Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

Restart your Xbox console. Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your Xbox controller to open the Power Center. Select Restart console and then select Restart. (If the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds, until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button on the console again to restart.)

After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

*** You also need to go to the twitch app and check that the volume of the gane is set to something that works for you and not to 0

If that doesn't work

Try to restore keeping games and apps, please be sure that you know your account email and password:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console screen, you'll see three option use this one, be sure you remember the email and password of you're accounts:

Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with Reset and keep my games & apps

I'm usually streaming as of late, and since I stream directly from my Xbox to mixer, I can't actually make a game clip.

But when I'm not streaming, or streaming via other means and I can take a game clip, I usally get things like kill streaks, weird stuff that isn't normal to be happening in that game, or when I get saved by luck, or just plain flukes.

if it happens again, open upload (not upload studio), return to the home screen, push the menu button on your controller and scroll down to quit.

next time you scream "XBOX RECORD THAT!!!!!!" at you TV it should record with sound. worked for me
