Sound on Spotify is silent

    Sound on Spotify is silent


    Ive always used spotify while playing games, its great! I booted up my xbox today to hear...nothing, the usual 10% music and 100% game audio doesnt matter anymore, normally 10% was loud enough, now i cant hear anything, even when i put it to 100% music.

    I assumed my headset had an issue so i projected the sound through my TV, same results. What can i do to fix the sound? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it didn’t help!

    Hmm that is weird. Spotify should play at all times, not only when you are ingame

    Try performing a full power cycle

    Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button  on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

    Once the lights on the front of the console, unplug the power cable from the rear of the console.

    Wait at least 2 minutes

    Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button  on the console or the Xbox button  on your controller.

    Chiming in to say I'm having the same issue. Only getting sound in games right now. No sound in dashboard, not even any sound in Spotify, but when I turn on NBA 2K23, after the screen goes black for a second, it comes back and then I can hear the music from Spotify as the game is loading. It's as if the system is switching into a different mode when it does this. One that actually has sound. What is happening?
