  1. Sound Mixer is missing from my settings - XBOX ONE

Hi, I'm hoping someone can assist. I have an original XBOX One and was looking to adjust the volume between my snapped apps and my main app. I found the instructions on the XBOX site as well as other places online, but when I follow these steps I am unable
    to locate the Sound Mixer.

When I go to Settings > Display & Sound > Volume, I do not have the option for Sound Mixer but instead have the following:

    - Chat Mixer

    - Party Chat output

    - Set Up TV & A/V Control

    - Change Volume with Voice

I am running sound throught the TV speakers and have no other audio devices connected to the TV or XBOX, and after calling and speaking to an agent about the issue they were unable to confirm the cause of the issue, but suggested it could be caused since
there is not another audio device connected. I understand that could be a possibility but it also seems to make little sense that the Sound Mixer feature would be unavailable without an sound system of some sort installed.

Has anyone encountered this issue or have any ideas what may be the cause? Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks

    :)

    sound on headphones

The only way to adjust the sound without any adjuster within the headphones itself is to change the sound mix by going into the settings itself within the Xbox One dashboard.

Configure sound and chat mixer settings

Sound mixer allows you to adjust the blend of sound between visible apps. Chat mixer lets you adjust the blend of sound between your game and your chat communications.

    1. Go to the Home screen.
    2. Press the Menu button on the controller.
    3. Select Settings.

Note You can say “Xbox, go to settings” from any screen, but you’ll need a controller to navigate once you’re on the
      Settings screen.
    4. Select Display & sound.
    5. Select the type of audio mix you’d like to adjust.

How to mute Live TV while watching Xbox Video in Snap Mode

There is a fader in the audio settings, you can choose if you want all sound to the main app or the snapped app

Configure sound and chat mixer settings

Sound mixer allows you to adjust the blend of sound between visible apps. Chat mixer lets you adjust the blend of sound between your game and your chat communications.

Alternatively if you are playing a game as the main app, just go to the game's audio settings and turn it down to 0.

This is what I do if I'm watching TV snapped.

    Go to the Home screen.

Press the Menu button on the controller.

    Select Settings.

    Sound/audio

    Hi YonEer

Your chat mixer may be set to focus only on the conversation. To adjust the level of sound while communicating, adjust the Chat mixer

    settings:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide, then select System > Settings.
Select Display & sound > Volume.
Select Chat mixer, the choose one of the options.

Xbox app blocks game audio during chat

You might wanna check and look up something called “Sound Mixer” on your Xbox console from the settings.
I am using the Xbox app is on win 10, not a console. During a chat, the mixer on pc shows that other programs, not Xbox are playing sound but I am not hearing them through my headphones, only the chat.
