Sound lost on Xbox One S multiple times after attempts to fix

I have recently lost the sound on the entire console for the fourth time now. I have looked at other people's problems similar to mine, though none of the fixes for their problems fixed mine. So, I will list all the times this has happened and all the fixes
that I got working for a limited amount of time in response to the problem repeating.

First time: I was using my original white controller when the sound suddenly cut out.

Fix: I swapped headphones

Second time: One side of my swapped headphones stopped working, then a few hours later the sound cut out again.

Fix: Swapped headphones again, didn't work. Bought a new controller, worked for a while.

Third time: Same thing happened, sound cut out suddenly, I tried messing around with the volume and the settings, though none of these worked.

Fix: My brother in-law came over and installed speakers to my console via the headphone jack on the new controller, this has worked up until recently.

Fourth time: I was playing Forza Horizon 3 when the sound started to cut in and out, I fixed it temporally by adjusting the cord slightly on the controller. Later, it cut out completely while playing Crysis 2 and I couldn't seem to fix it by messing with
the volume on either the console or the speakers. I also tried adjusting the cord, though that didn't work either.

Fix: Currently looking for a fix

Will buying a wired controller or wireless headphones fix this issue? If not, please explain what I need to do in order to fix this.
