  1. Sound loss of back speakers trying to fix

Hi everyone as it says I have sound loss of the back 2 speakers of my set up and I just want to put my setup on here I have been dealing with this for some time now but have had no luck so I'm asking for help now here is my setup

I have my Xbox running into my Samsung F6400AM which should be able to pass 5.1 as it works for my 3D bluray player my TV then sends the sound to my Bluray player which has the 5.1 speakers which can do DTS Dolby and all that both are connected via HDMI 1.4

If I turn off the audio and turn on sound via Digital cable I can clearly hear the system is playing some kind of compressed strereo plays in all speakers if I run it via HDMI I am getting like an uncompressed 3.1 sound just trying to find a way to get it to
    play full 5.1

I have the XO SEVENS for sound but sometimes people like to watch me play and like sound if I'm missing info plz say and I will include.

    :)

No Sound, Then some sound, Then full sound

I'm having several audio issues. When I turn on the console there is no sound at all. After a minute or two sounds start to pop thru speakers. Then after another minute or so most of the sound is working. I can launch a game and have full sound. When in
game though (BF4) there is some sound loss. This problem comes and goes. Anybody else having this issue? Is there a fix?

Seriously MS please fix the surround sound issue on the Xbox One...very disappointed Sound loss of back speakers trying to fix :(

Microsoft please fix the audio. I have a 7.1 set-up. First I had no audio now I have audio in the back side speakers and nothing coming from the side speakers. Just to make sure... aren't the side speakers part of the 5.1 set up? If so why would I hear sound
in my BACK side 7.1 speakers and none in the regular 5.1 speakers? Please MS fix this. I'm getting frustrated and feel like I wasted money.

In general the audio is just not good. I was watching the NFL games today and they did not sound as good as when I had my regular HDMI going into my receiver instead of passing through the Xbox One...not even close.

    No sound in movies!

You could also try simply turning the TV off and then back on or switching the input mode to TV and then back to your 360. I sometimes experience sound loss (not sure what causes it) but this has always fixed it.

Xbox one s not using atmos speakers in games

Thank you for responding. I did try to set my output options to both 5.1 uncompressed and 7.1 uncompressed and then reverting back to dolby atmos sound. I also re-installed the dolby acces app. Demo content in the app itself plays sound from my height
speakers and the rest of my speakers. I only get this problem when playing games, where only the height speakers are not playing any sound at all. The rest of my speakers have no problem in producing the sound as it should. I will retry changing the settings
as you suggested later this day. Thank you for the help.

    Crackling noises in Dolby digital

I also have experienced the intermittent crackling - BUT only prior to this most recent update (last week; I am in the preview group). Of course, now my surround sound (cable box) doesn't work at all (nothing from the rear channels), so there's that...

I have a 7.1 setup. Out of the box, my One would play surround sound from 5.1 speakers. The funny thing was, for games, it used the left/right surround speakers and for TV, it used the back left/back right speakers... ! The March update worked great,
initially, but now I'm getting no surround from my TV (major bummer). Games seem to be OK (all 7.1 speakers producing sound)...

It's so disappointing that they can't get this right. Sound is super important to me. I hope they fix this - and soon!!!

Wrong device plugged in IR out 3.5 output

Well, if your speakers still produce sound, nothing bad happened.

The IR port on the console simply sends out an "on/off" signal. For a speaker it doesn't matter that it's not a "real" audio signal. An analogue sound signal is simply an electrical current that has more or less power depending on the sound being put out
    (like an analogue audio wave).

The more electrical power is put through a line, the more the magnet in a speaker will move the membrane of the speaker, causing the air to vibrate and create a sound wave.

So for the speaker it was just a series of "LOUD SOUND - no sound- LOUD SOUND - no sound - no sound - LOUD SOUND..." signal which was alternating quick enough to make it sound like a screeching or buzzing, as the membrane was pushed all the way depending
on the loudness volume you set on your amplifier, then back several times.

In short: As long as you didn't pop your speaker membrane that way, everything will be all right.

    In-game voices

Hello, sorry to hear your having problems. I've seen a similar issue when running sound through a receiver. Try changing the sound scheme on the receiver.

Some sound schemes or stages only work or sound right with a specific speaker setup. Ie if the stage uses a middle speaker output for the voice and you do not have a middle speaker.

    Hope this helps!
