Sound keeps cutting out while playing games! Help!

No worries about the delay

Is the console inside a TV shelf that is closed off with a door, or is the shelf open?

 

The shelf is open, there is no door on it. :/

 

Hi, could you try going into Settings/system/console settings/display, disable display discovery in there, does this audio issue still persist ?

 

EggsBoxJuan, I changed this setting, it made my resolution bad but I changed it back to 1080p.

I played a game for an hour and the sound was fine and I was so excited that it might of been fixed. And then literally minutes after i felt i was in the clear... It cut out again.

This is really frustrating.

Also the color streaking still happens when i turn off my system and when i changed the setting you recommended it happened when the system restarted. Sometimes its blue, sometimes its pink, but its like blocks of streaking color that flash on the screen.
Not sure if it's related.

But i never experienced this with my older model. D:

At this point I recommend testing a different Xbox 360 console with your current set up to see if the issue can be replicated. If you are unable to try a different Xbox 360 console, or a different console does not replicate this issue, I recommend sending
your Xbox 360 console in for repair.

I'm really nervous about sending in my xbox... Will my files be safe? I've never sent it in before...

 

You can send your Xbox 360 console in with out the hard drive. Simply
Remove the Hard Drive from the Xbox 360 before you send it out!

 

Ok so it couldn't be the xbox if it happened on the old one as well which means it is the TV as you said the old xbox didn't use HDMI and you've checked all ports which means there's an internal problem with your TV not xbox, I'd recommend using a headset
man there's no easy way around it it's obviously the Tv is the Tv new? If so I'd contact the manufacturers or research the model and issue.

From reading some of your other posts the audio and colour is affected sounds like a bad HDMI as it drags down HD audio and Video, but you said it happened on old xbox with a different connection so I still retain that it's the TV that's malfunctioning as
easy way to test this is hook it up to another TV in your house for an hour and see if it happens use same HDMI.

Damxh: I'm sorry for the confusion, but in my posts i had said that it hasn't happened with my old xbox. I only mentioned the old one because i was wondering if the problem was my hdmi cable because the old model didn't have a hdmi cable. So it is definitely
my new xbox. I've even plugged in my ps3 recently into that hdmi slot and there were no sound issues what-so-ever.

The new xbox is so pretty, but it's not working right i guess. xD

I had this issue for a while as well but my issue was because of my cables being faulty and were shorted out so maybe it could be your Cables going bad.

 

So I sent in my xbox... It took a while to get there and when i got it back it was completely scratched up. Looked like it was dragged across a table covered in gravel. I take immaculate care of my stuff so this was really ridiculous. I was very upset about
it. And now they are sending me a new one. I have been without an xbox for 2 months.
