    Hello I noticed that many people blame the Xbox beta for having sound issue in certain games and apps.

    But in my case and many others it's the new firmware for Samsung TVs. 1401 on Samsung tv 2019 models breaks the sound when switching games or apps. Many people have to restart their system completely to resolve the Problem. But if you have an Samsung tv with this new firmware 1401 on 2019 tv Models, you need to hold the tv remote power button until a Samsung logo appears. That resolve die issue for the current game or app.

    I don't know if other firmwares from Samsung are effected too. Please feel free to commit.

    Hey there,

    Some apps such as YouTube do not support surround sound on Xbox One. If some games & apps work with surround sound, while specific apps do not, the best route to take will be to reach out to the developers of those specific apps to inquire about possible
    surround sound support.

    I am having the same issue with sound on live TV. Sound on apps (Netflix, YouTube, etc) and games is perfect but when I am watching live TV I have no sound at all. Tried power cycling the cable box but that did nothing to remedy the problem. Would love to

    I have the exact same thing happening now and I have no idea why. It just started happening fairly recently and it is causing me not to even use Mixer until it is fixed. I don't think I did anything to cause that and I didn't change any setting. It is definitely
    odd. Been using Twitch in the mean time.
    This problem seems to be related to low latency. If you turn off low latency the sound should be coming through your speakers/TV

    Certain games on my Xbox series x launch with no sound

    Ben, this is interesting because what you are experiencing is a bit different/opposite of what the rest here see. You have no sound on the dashboard and sound is ok in the original game you are playing, whereas what most see seems to be no sound in 'some' games and apps, but full sound in the menu/dashboard. Having said that, I bet it has to be related. There is something about the type of sound signal coming in and out of the HDMI interface that is different for the menu and some of the apps. Hoping to hear more of what others are seeing.
