Sound Issue with Xbox One Stereo Headset

Hello,

7 months ago I bought a Xbox One headset, last week it started to stop functioning, there's no sound

in the right speaker of the headset. The adaptor is fully operational, the same goes for my controller.

I check my headset on my computer and the problem remains the same, no sound in the right speaker.

It's the second time I experienced this type of sound issue after a few month of utilisation.

Is the warranty still valid ? Can I send back my headset to Microsoft for reparation/exchange ? If so, how can I ?

Television Audio Through Xbox One Headset

If you are talking about the Chat headset, that comes with Xbox One, then No. If you are talking about Stereo Headset, with an Stereo Headset Adapter. then Yes. Using the Stereo Headset Adapter give to both Chat and Game sound to the headset. If you TV,
is connected to the Xbox, your TV sound, will go to the headset.

Xbox One Headset Adapter Problems

I have a turtle beach px21 headset and purchased the xbox one headset adapter. The stereo sound is coming through really well, but the mic isn't working with it. Is this a known issue or is my headset mic not compatible with the xbox one?

If nothing helps and your Xbox One Stereo Headset is broken, it should be replaced. To order a replacement, go to the Xbox Online Service Center:

Check "Replace an accessory"

Just tested this and it will work.

Xbox One connected to a monitor using an HDMI Cable. Set the Display settings to DVI. Meaning no audio is being transferred over the cable. Attached Headset Audio adapter to an updated xbox one controller and plugged in the Xbox One Stereo headset to the
adapter, got Stereo sound on the headset without any issues.

Yes, this product

will produce sound from the xbox one controller to the xbox one stereo adapter which the headphones will allow you to plug the XBox Headphones in and hear sound and chat with the mic.

watch the video in the link above. At the end it shows the adapter, and the cord on the headphones that you would plug in.

Hey, I see your frustrated...what exact make and model of headsets are we talking about?

-The only issue right now is form time to time the controller may freeze which stops or messes up sound if you're using the Xbox one stereo adapter. If you're not (I have a headset that plugs in via USB to the Xbox One - AfterGlow) there are no other issues.
That statement is assuming you've set things up correctly and are not using modded adapters, etc.
