Sound Issue During Games, Netflix, & Blu Ray Player

Whenever I play a game, watch a movie on a disc, or stream something on Netflix, and try to play the sound through my TV, I can hear everything except for voices. I've tried a hard reset, only to no avail. It is a first Gen XB1. Any suggestions? I'm kinda
tired of having to use my controller and plug it into an external speaker. Any and all suggestions help!

Xbox one bluRay audio problems. Help needed.

I've been having issues with my audio when playing blu ray's on the xbox one. It doesn't matter what disc I use or what audio source. No audio will play through my headset directly from the controller, or hooked up to my 4k tv. This all started several months ago when it would freeze and the audio will go out of sync with the picture. Netflix, vudu, and games are not affected. My asus montiors also supports hdmi sound and they dont work when the blu ray movie plays.
I just spent an hour with Xbox support and nothing they suggest had any effect on the issue. My xbox, unfortunately, is out of warranty.

Things i've tried:
Uninstalling and reinstalling the blu ray app.
switching the audio settings.
installing the app on both my internal and external.
using fiber optic sound cable through my mix amp.

The behavior is the same.

Could this be an issue with the blu ray player, a combination between the App and the device, or the App just being the worst app ever created on this planet?

Xbox one x blu ray player has a vertical green line when the movie plays.

I downloaded the Blu Ray player for the Xbox One X. When I play a movie there is a vertical green line that displays. It doesn't appear during game play or on Netflix. Is this common?

I use Netflix and the blu Ray player probably just as much as gaming

I have also had the same issue (since the most recent update). Only seems to affect the blu ray player app. Netflix and the media player app are working as expected.

Nah, no voice controls with blu ray. Those commands work with Netflix, amazon, and xbox video but it's strangely absent from the blu ray player. Throw in a blu ray and check it out, check out how dumb the controls are too. They could be sooo much better.
