Sound hearing 2 times

I have the same problem, only just started hearing it. Mine sounds like a vibration effect that is not constant, but I can hear it pulsate 1-2 times a second. Then after playing a game for a while, it slows down to about once every 2 secs.

It doesn't seem like a bad sound, but I can hear it in a quiet room 7 ft away on the couch.

Had to put in a service request. This seems to be how my drive operates now.

1. put in disk, hear slight grind sound

2. put in disk, does not read it, keep trying, sometimes 10-15 times.

3. put in disk, hear slight grind, remove disk and hear elongated grind sound.

It also seems to be getting worse as far as #2 goes. Wonder how long service takes.

Ohh i know whats your problem that happened to me when i played bioshock to. Some times you would hear the sound of the game and at a moment you wouldn't hear nothing or you would hear the game with a delay time for example you shoot and like 2-5 seconds
later you hear the gun shooting to fix this you have to install the game and that's it problem solved

I thought mine was freezing as well...it just takes a long time to load that's all. Hit your guide button, and if you hear the sound, then it's still loading the game file. give it like a minute or 2 ok?
