    We were under the impression that you had fully factory reset the console at this time.

    Apologies for the confusion let's be sure to
    fully factory reset     the console right away.

    I did as you asked, reset the console with keeping my games. but I was thinking totally resetting the console.

    Sound gone in game FFXV

    only tiny problem with that is that I bought the console used and so it vanished 3 games cause I can't get the code to the guys login, but to frekk with it, FFXV is worth more than those 3 games, heres is hoping the saved games are saved

    and I don't lose it all. cross the fingers....

    Here is an odd thing, so I go into system, and settings and reset console and remove everything, right

    but after everything is done, and I log in again, I do not have 500GB free on the hard drive it is automatically installing FFXV

    odd....

    Oh yeah, by the way.... 2 hours after reset, its only installed 28% of the game

    wow....

    Can I get MS to sponsor me with a 1GB SSD? no? ill even have the Microsoft sticker on my Xbox....? Oh....its already there... crap, then it will have to install over night, hopefully...

    seriously though, that amount of install, I wish I had bought this on a disk....

    so...yeah... a few days later...and I start the xbox (been kind of buzy)

    and for some reason it is taking its time logging in... but it does

    and so I start the FFXV, and yes it starts....

    at the beginning screen... not as it usually does at last saved spot

    it now loads the start up screeen every time you start the game.

    BUUUUUT.... now there is sound each and every time

    so I dunno about you guys, but id call that a win and be done with it

    unless it will reappear in a few days.

    I will let you know, but at least, now I got sound each time I start the game, so thank you all for the help.

    so here is an update.... with some thoughts...

    sound works perfectly...

    but game starts with loading screen each time, like I am starting the xbox anew and starting the game again

    before it was immediately booting to where I last saved...

    could it be that what was wrong? that it was not loading right, that it was skipping the synch FFXV etc

    and going directly to last saved spot as if I was not left the game at all just but it on pause kind of effect?

    either way, I don't mind the loading screen etc, its what a game should look like

    and sound works perfectly, so I am happy.

    The sound works fine

    all worked fine

    until this update today(been away for a week)

    so I go into a dungeon

    get to the gem that I am looking for

    going for bosses

    2 red bosses

    3 hours before I got there cause stupid SE and their idiotic riddle dungeons.

    *CRASH*

    Game has not been saved cause naturally your not allowed to save in dungeons.

    so I am going to use a famous quote to say goodbye to this game and this console

    cause it has been more trouble than its worth.

    Leonard: There you go.

    Thats what I feel. Screwed over and I CBA to do the dungeon again.

    simply put, I don't like the goddamn riddles and movable walls etc.

    Not to get to a point where it crashes, so screw this...

    soft Factory reset.

    On step seven be sure to pick Keep my games and apps!

    Post back once those steps are complete and let us know how it goes!

    EPISODE GLADIOLUS is missing from downloadable content.

    and....the day after, sound is gone again.

    So this did not fix the sound problem at all.

    sound is everywhere except in game.

    so I am back to deleting the saved games on concsole in order to get any sound.

    To be sure, did you test the console on another TV?

    Let's have you try that step and get back to us.

    Then for the missing content if you check the store on the console and if you manage the game from my games and apps do you see that content?

    Done that and it does the same as I have it connected to my monitor and I have a tv besides it, it does the same, silence

    oh and now has EPISODE GLADIOLUS returned but sound issues continues

    Are you using the same HDMI cable that came with the console and which version are you on?

    How many variations of audio settings have you tried?

    All games are a bit different and there may be something that Final Fantasy

    requires that your other games do not, we suggest trying as many audio settings/setups as possible so we can locate the root of the issue.

    If this issue was related to corrupt software the reinstall and factory reset would have resolved that.

    As for the HDMI, cables can have different effects on different games based on the game's needs. Let's be sure to test another HDMI cable and ensure that you have an HDMI cable that is: 2.0b 2160p @ 60Hz, AMD FreeSync capable.

    Oh and as for the HDMI yes, that is capable of that since I use it to my monitor between computer and monitor and at 144mhz free synch

    Oh and I started to see a pattern..... every time I log into the game the day after it does not "synch to final fantasy XV", it resumes where it was before

    maybe it is that synching that also lacks the sound....?

    No, I am not using the HDMI cablöe that came with the console, because that was old and got damaged and did not work

    but that should not affect just one game, I have 6 other games that sound works perfectly on, it is only FFXV that sound dissapears.
