Afterwards no audio on dash and in XB1 til full ... in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; im not sure if it has to do w my new 2tb seagate Xbox branded harddrive or not.     im not sure if it has to do w my new 2tb seagate Xbox branded harddrive or not. But audio on some of my 360 games I play via BC will cut totally out and ill have to fully shutdown my XB1 to get it back. Its even affecting my dashboard and other games. I
    called last month and was told it was a drm issue since my "home" Xbox is in the living room and its going out on the one in my room. Yesterday I called and Miguel who was awesome helped me and i thought it was fixed when he had me cut off my optical audio
    since Im just running HDMI to my TV. It didn't do it again til around 3 today. All day yesterday and this morning it worked w no hiccups til this afternoon. Does anyone have anyidea what's causing this? Its very aggravating thank you for any help you can
    provide on this Sound cutting out on BC 360 games on my XB1. Afterwards no audio on dash and in XB1 til full ... :)

    Have you checked the Optical Audio option to see if it has re-selected itself? What is the HDMI audio output setting that you currently have? Try setting it to Stereo Uncompressed if it isn't already and see if it helps. Also, try a different HDMI cable
    and/or port to see if that helps.

    Yeah I checked the optical. Its still off. The HDMI is on stereo uncompressed. Ill check the cord and input slot in a bit. Its the **** thing

    Found this:

    1. Update firmwares for TV, XB1S & Sound bar.
    2. XB1S HDMI OUT (to TV) goes to Sound bar HDMI IN. (DOES NOT GO TO TV)
    3. Sound bar HDMI ARC OUT goes to TV HDMI ARC.
    4. TV AUDIO set to PCM. TV VIDEO set to ARC.
    5. Sound bar audio set to HDMI IN. (NOT HDMI ARC)
    6. XB1S Video set to 4K UHD.
    7. XB1S Audio set to ATMOS.
    *Most importantly, XB1S HDMI OUT (to TV) DOES NOT GO TO TV, BUT GOES TO Sound bar IN! XB1S HDMI IN Should NOT BE USED!

    Let's talk about Dolby Digital and DTS

    I use the optical out for my TB stereo headset via the TB DSS2 7.1 processor on the XB1.

    What settings should I use in the xb1 options? Am sure it disables audio altogether on one of them.

    Anybody using the DSS2?

    Sound seemed better on 360 with this setup.

    Hey, I wonder if that service alert affected people on the preview playing BC games? Technically speaking, you appear to log in to the 360 dash.

    I didn't finish my last post, I said at least 5 years, the leap from 360/ps3 to xb1/ps4 wasn't earth moving, but necessary.
