    Sound cutting off from Xbox one?


    My partner is having a problem with his xbox one, where in certain games (we found it happened on Tomb Raider and Call of Duty) all of a sudden the game would disconnect from the sound, and sometimes it would randomly reconnect a few minutes later, sometimes
    it wouldn't. I'm sure this is likely coincidence but it has only happened on these games and happens most often when there's a lot of shooting going on. Our current set up for the Xbox is the xbox connected to the TV by HDMI, and the TV is connected to an
    LG sound bar via optical cable. Hoping somebody could help rectify this little annoyance. It doesn't happen on any other consoles except it did happen on the 360, so I'm guessing it could be our set up? Like I said it's not a regular occurrence but does have
    him growling at the tv when it does happen and I was hoping setting configuration could help, or someone could narrow down what the issue is. Thanks.

    No Sound?

    I think going to the home screen my only apply if you have no sound after cutting on the Xbox from being off in the instant on state. It dawned on me when I played this afternoon that I didn't get sound whenever I went back to Destiny after having cut off
    my console.

    xbox one turns self on and cuts self off randomly

    I've had my xbox one for a while. I have been having an issue with my system randomly cutting itself on and randomly cutting itself off. As for it cutting itself off .... sometimes its just after 5 seconds from turning it on to 30 or so minutes or even 2
    - 3 hours.

    Sorry you're having issues with your sound. To help narrow down the issue you should try removing things to see what could be the issue. If you're using optical audio, can you unplug this and just use the HDMI audio from the TV? If this works with
    no issues, then it's likely something with the optical audio (cable, connection, dirt, ect). If you hear it on the TV after removing the optical cable, then try a new HDMI cable. As this is a random issue, it's likely something on the receiver, cable, or TV
    side, and not an Xbox setting.

    Do you happen to be in the Insider Program? If so recreating the issue and sending an error report will help the team get to the bottom of it. Otherwise if you are on Twitter it couldn’t hurt to send your findings to @XboxSupport.

    I know there’s an issue being tracked with sound cutting out in games but I have yet to see them mention they’re monitoring system wide audio drops!

    Hello if your mic is left unattended for a while it will cut off. The mic could also not be Xbox compatible. One fix that I tried was to play Spotify though the mic on no sound and it might not turn off, if this does not work I would text customer service/support
