Sound cuts out randomly

While I'm watching TV the sound cuts out randomly and last for ~10-20 mins--afterward, the sound is fine. It's happened twice now and I've been using my Xbox One for 4 days.

I don't receive any errors and it's not reproducible--it just happens at random.

Just need some more info

Does it happen on all games or just one game?

Which xbox do you have ie phat or slim?

Have you got access to another xbox?

Please try not to bump your thread as could have an adverse affect on getting help

Maybe just switch the setting, (not to digital) and try if the problem still stays. also check if the cables are connected correctly. Maybe it is a bad HDMI cable so you can also try swapping the cable. If the problem stays after everything you try d i think
you have to send it in for repair

My Xbone randomly loses all sound for no reason sometimes twice a session and sometimes twice a week. It can be any game. I will put my controller down and go smoke a cigarette and come back to no sound. Ive done a million different thing and theyve all
worked some of the time. This goes from simply exiting out of the game and entering into another one, unplugging my headset, turning the console off and back on, and finally the good ol hard reset. I love this console to death and am a pretty patient person....but
this is really starting to wear on me. It is quite annoying to be engrossed in a game only to have the vibe broken by constantly having to do weird things to my "next-gen" console to fix the sound. On a side note: This never once happened in the three years
since i've switched from being a Playstation owner since the initial launch to Xbox on my 360.

Only options I see for audio are:

Digital Stereo

Dolby Digital 5.1

Dolby Digital with WMA Pro

Last two I don't believe would work for me, as I'm using the TV speakers, not a surround setup. Any idea how I would change to a non digital audio setting?

I use the same cable for my DVD player, and have not noticed any issue with it, and wouldn't think that just changing a setting on the Xbox would "fix" a bad cable. (definitely willing to admit I'm wrong on that though, just working of my perceived common
sense).

Hey all, just like you to try something and when the sound cuts turn your tv off then back on, I had a similar issue with my 360 would do it with apps too though but only with the 360 so I'd put it down to some handshake issue

2. i had this issue when i took my box to a friend and connected with same hdmi i brought with me, no matter which game, Sound sometimes would just miss completly, different tv back at home, working fine again

I have the same problem. It cuts out randomly sometimes I can go a week or so with no problem then boom it happens randomly. Sometimes reboots don't work, by then I just use my surround sound headset and it works fine.
