    Sound but no picture


    Hello, I have two DVD that I can not read on my Xbox One X.
    First of all, the Blu-ray Player application, the Xbox and my TV have been updated.

    I have a black screen but I hear the music. As if I were in the menu to choose chapters, languages and subtitles.

    Sorry if the subject is not in the right category but I do not know or put it.

    Hi Boozor,

    You'd probably want to contact XBOX Support as without any way of being able to put in a hard drive or even a secondary storage device (USB Flash Drive) I believe there's something wrong with your console and it would need to be repaired.

    Actually, I did take out the hard drive and the 8 gig memory stick, and I now have picture!! However, plugging either of those in denies me picture. Any tips on that problem, anyone?

    Hey Carnage, First off I am sorry to hear you are having a video issue with your Xbox, but if you could try the below steps first and see if they work that would be great..

    • Turn off the console (connect all HDMI wires)
    • Turn the console back on using the controller
    • While the console is starting up, hold down "Y" and "RT" (Right Trigger) until the console restarts.
    • This will reset the audio/video settings in the console, hopefully this works.

    Thank you, I have tried two cables in all three ports on my TV. I removed the other devices plugged into my TV unplugged everything. Just can't work it out.

    The xbox is less than a year old, so I'm rather cheesed off!
