  1. Sound and image dropping out

    Hi friends.

During my research I have found many other with the same or similar issue. I am hoping someone has found a true solution without being forced to downgrade image quality.

I know full well I took a chance when purchasing these cables. A new type of cable the unknown, supposedly superior but even if there was no visible improvement i should not be having this issue.

This is my issue. I purchased some very expensive FIBBR Ultra Pro fibre optical HDMI cables to use for the new 4K set up. I'm using X-Box One X with a Yamaha RX-V 2085 AV Reciever and Sony KD X9000F TV. During play I will get random drop out of image and
sound (I will loose sound and image at the same time) I can see the information displayed on Reciever disappear as if the whole signal is lost. I can play for a couple of hours without a problem to it dropping out every second second. I have tried every setting
on all systems with no success. Tried turning systems on in different orders to confirm hand shake has been successfull. Tried unplugging and swapping cables to different positions. Tried plugging directly in TV only to have same issue. I tried 3 pairs of
copper HDMI cables with all settings at highest quality and it run perfect with all copper cables. With that said I am confident that the FIBBR cables are not damage in any way. Another test I tried was running copper cable from X-Box One X to reciever and
FIBBR cable from reciever to TV, for 2 days I didn't have a single drop out but the issue returned on the third day. Running FIBBR from X-Box One X to reciever and copper to TV was no good.

If you know why or have a true solution please let me know.

Thank you for your time and help.

    :)

    Sound and image dropping out

    Hi there Forever Knight,

Thanks for reaching out. I recommend to try the following article:
Troubleshooting 4K and HDR on Xbox One X and Xbox One S.

The Xbox One X console system includes one HDMI cable. You can use this cable to connect the console to an HDMI-compatible TV or HDTV. Here's how:

    1. Connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT port on your console (the leftmost HDMI port on the back of your console).
    2. Connect the other end of the cable to the HDMI input on your TV.

    • Video output for the Xbox One X console is HDMI only. If you’re also connecting your console to a sound system, see

Connect your Xbox One console to a sound system
. You’ll also need to ensure that the device has an HDMI 2.0 input and is rated for 4K passthrough.
    • If the included HDMI cable isn’t long enough, we recommend finding a n “HDMI Premium Certified Cable” of the appropriate length. If you need a cable that’s 50 feet or longer, you may want an “Active High-Speed HDMI Cable”.
    • As a best practice, make sure all the cables on the back of your console are gathered away from and are not touching the console. If you must run the cables to the side, avoid running cables by the back-left side of the console by placing
the console vertically on the stand. This helps avoid wireless interference that can affect the console’s ability to reliably connect to Wi-Fi or decrease your wireless controller’s range.

    Hope this helps.

    No Image or sound.

Press and hold your finger to the power button until the console turns off then unplug it from the outlet for 30 sec then plug it back in and power back on. Hopefully it will start booting up normally

I have unplugged everything and replugged everything but I'm still not getting any signal or sound. The Xbox360 fan turns on and the on button lights up but my tv says there is no signal and there is no sound.

(I think my Xbox is the original white one).

Any update on this? Been having the exact same problem. Did an advanced exchange and still experiencing the random audio drop out. They want me to replace the power adapter now, but won't do any advance exchange.

What brand TV are you on?
