It has been a week now since my 360 disconnected from live & gave 8007007A code when trying to connect. Not only have I had no live but because I followed MS guide which included deleting my profile, I have have no console. Trying to download profile gives
me "Sorry, Xbox Live can't be downloaded right now. Try again later. 8007007A"

The first four days, before MS acknowledged the fault was at their end, I spent HOURS phoning them and trying EVERYTHING to resolve the issue. Will I be renewing my Live subscription which expires this week?

**** isn't it. I'm in exactly the same boat, they seem to think everything is now working, and don't care that we can't download our profiles.

apparently if you didn't delete your profile (like support suggested) you CAN sign in now but who had that kind of foresight. the rest of us are still screwed, I even had a backup profile on thumb drive but it got deleted during this hair pulling fiasco

Yep I believe that's true as well, my profile is on my friend's console so I'm going to try and transfer it with a USB drive. Otherwise we are screwed. Mine got deleted when I tried to download it to a drive that already had the profile on it, it rather
helpfully deletes the existing one first in preparation before it fails, leaving you with nothing.

Nope. He tried logging in as me on the existing profile on his console and got the exact same error 8007007A

Nope. He tried logging in as me on the existing profile on his console and got the exact same error 8007007A
