Sorry, we are unable to play this disc (0x80820002)

Hello,

I have only had my Xbox One for 9 days now and I have been playing digital content with it up to this point. It will play Blu-Rays but when I attempted to play Call of Duty: Ghosts off of a disc (It is definitely the Xbox One version) I get the error message:

Sorry, we are unable to play this disc. Try an Xbox One game, a music CD, or a movie on Blu-ray or DVD. (0x80820002)

The troubleshooting I have tried so far is to remove the disc, hold the power button off for 10 seconds, disconnect the power cord for 3 minutes, restart and try to play the disc. When rebooted it still will not play the disc. I do not have any other disc
based Xbox One games to try.

My roommate had this same problem. Just return it or send it to xbox for repair.

The Xbox team are aware of this issue and it looks like the options are to either return the console to the retailer or Microsoft or to watch for a patch to be realised.

Thanks guys. I've elected to return the console instead of waiting for a patch as I am still inside my return period.
