Sony X900E 4k Blu-ray Stutter

Hi,

I recently upgraded my TV to a Sony XBR65X900E and I've noticed a couple things with it when watching 4k Blu-ray movies. If I pause a movie for an extended period of time and then come back to continue watching, the audio/video
sync is off. Quitting out of the player and going back to the point in the movie where it started happening fixes the issue. The second issue is occasional stutter around an hour in to most movies. I'm not sure if this has to do with the point at which
the layer break occurs on the disc, but after the stutter, the sync is off again and quitting the player and going back in to where the stutter stopped continues playing the movie just fine. Not sure if this is a known issue or not, but wanted to bring it
up.

Lord Dirt 4k tv cost £16k now sony you can only watch movies and music in 4K thats what sony said now microsoft have said you can do all that and play GAMES in 4k. blu ray was not made by sony, sony made the badge, the emblem the blu ray icon, thats it.

Xbox One S Dolby Atmos Support

Hi guys i have just bought a dolby atmos sound bar but now the 4k blu ray says no hdr device.

The picture is much worse as minus hdr but the sound is very decent.

My set up is

tv 55 sony xe90

xbox one S

sony ht xf9000 dolby atmos virtual surround bar and sub woofer

+ 4k blu ray.

all cables 2.0 hdmi.

Any ideas why now it wont play 4k blu ray in HDR?

We're not aware of any known issue with that specific TV, you might want to reach out to Sony support to see if they have any knowledge or troubleshooting steps. Generally we would suggest to make sure that your TV's firmware or
software is fully up to date first and that you're using the HDMI cable included with the Xbox One console.

Hello, I have just tried the Revenant UHD Blu Ray on my Sony X85C and found flickering/stuttering 20 minutes in on HDR 4k.

Don't know if its the disc, the cables (which are latest spec) or the firmware of the xbox or tv.

This is true in practice, but sometimes specs sway consumers despite practicality.

With Sony being a major stakeholder on the BDA they may have an inside track on what hardware will be needed for 4K Blu-ray. In result, I would not be surprised if PS4 supported Blu-ray 4K native even with launch consoles while X1 launch consoles may be
incapable of native 4K Blu-ray (but will likely be able to upscale 1080p Blu-ray to 4K with slightly lower fidelity)

Note that again in practice you need a minimum 10' screen to start seeing differences between 1080p and 4k per Joe Kane (video fidelity legend).
