  1. Sony TV KDL-32W660E and HDR Support

So my Sony TV KDL-32W660E is a 1080p HDR10 TV, I cannot get the HDR to work on Xbox One X, it always shows my TV is not HDR compatible. I already set the HDMI signal format to enchanced. HDR works fine in my PS4 PRO.

Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks

    :)

    Strange Problem

    Blame Samsung? RMA the TV?

I can try that on my Sony KDL-55HX850 tonight (computer and XBOX at the same time).

  4. Sony TV KDL-32W660E and HDR Support

According to some support documentation, it seems you
must have a 4K+HDR display in order to enable HDR.

I suppose 1080p+HDR displays weren't a thing yet when the Xbox One S came out. A bit ironic since the game is rendered at 1080p anyway on the Xbox One S!

One thing to do for now is to submit your feedback to request HDR support for 1080p+HDR displays: Xbox Ideas, powered by UserVoice Make a new thread with this request, or vote on existing threads if someone else already has
the idea. If a thread gets enough votes by the community, the idea will be officially evaluated by Microsoft and they may push it into future system updates.

The KDL-32W660E is an 8-bit display, the Xbox One X requires a 10-bit display with wide color gamut in order to use it's HDR.

I'm surprised the PS4Pro works at all but looking it up Sony advertised these TV's as a low cost way to get Playstation HDR gaming, given the specs on these displays, an 8-bit IPS panel with edge LED backlight on paper they barely count as HDR capable panels.

All I can say is it's extremely unlikely you will ever get HDR out of Xbox on these displays.

Same problem with the KDL-32WE613 My display has HDR and 10 bit output, works fine with Youtube and Netflix HDR content directly on the TV Apps and fine with
HDR games and HDR content on Netflix on my PS4 Pro, Xbox One S ticks HDR by default but says the TV does not support it even when it's forced on in with the HDR-Game or HDR-Cinema profiles.

According to Display Specifications that is not a real HDR display (not even 1080p but 720p too & 8-bit), yes it supports it but it is soft HDR, it does not have the hardware to actually display HDR and just uses some post processing techniques to try and
    simulate it.

    31.5" Sony KDL-32WE613 - Specifications

The XB1S does not support HDR at 1080/720p only 2160p-4K output. Ideally for a PS4 Pro and XB1S you should have a 4K 10-bit display.
