Sony RM-YD080 Remote Control Code no longer recognized.

My setup was working fine (TV power on/off toguether when XBox on/off) but suddenly not anymore.

Now the Sony RM-YD080 remote code is not recognized and get replaced by Xbox's "autodetected" code T0810 which not work.

Microsoft has no public list of supported TV control codes and I guess they have discontinued support for the Sony Bravia RM-YD080 because from nothing it stopped working.

    Hey Microsoft, please fix that.

    :)

Sony RM-YD080 Remote Control Code no longer recognized.

I did all steps a week ago, including “delete” the TV but nothing.

Today, after this post, I setup the TV again and it works well like before. And with remote code T0810!

Then, as with all another posts on same subject: there is no known procedure to fix.

    Thank you.

Without knowing what steps you have already taken, all I can think of is

    Try this..

Guide > System > Settings > General > TV & Display options > TV & AV power options and check the Note at the top of screen where it mentions toggles.

In the TV setup you could try setting that to nothing and do a Full shutdown and restart of the TV, AVR then console. Go back into the options and reconfigure the TV setting and restart again.

Xbox One - AV Device not recognized. Nuforce Dia. Can we manually enter code or have XBOX One learn?

I'm having a similar problem with xbox not recognizing my receiver (sony STR k900). I have a remote but am not sure how to input the code. Do I need to get a newer receiver?

HP ENVY 32 monitor & Xbox remote control

    Hi,

Thanks for responding! Yup, I am referring to Xbox One remote control.

I had checked the troubleshooter before, but it didn't help unfortunately. I am simply unable to control volume or turn off/on my monitor using Xbox One remote control. It happens despite I add my HP ENVY 32 as a TV (in fact Xbox recognized it automatically
    and assigned T1642 remote code).

Is there any other code I could use to be able to control my HP monitor via media remote?

    Thanks

Sony STR-DE635 AV Receiver With Xbox One

I DID, in fact, get this to work. Here is what I did.

    1. I googled (or Binged :) ) "Sony STR-DE635 Remote Codes". A lot of results said that remote codes for my receiver do not exist. That seemed unlikely, because my Logitech Harmony remote works fine with my receiver. I did not let that deter me. :)
    2. I called Xbox support where I learned the remote codes Xbox One uses are, in fact, the SAME remote codes used by universal remotes that have been around for years. I learned that these codes are pretty much standard in the industry - meaning the same codes
work with all remotes that can support them. Interesting.
    3. After learning all that, I next did a search for something like "Sony Universal Remote Codes". This returned some user manuals for universal remotes that contained sections for Sony receivers.
    4. I began entering the 4-digit codes into the A/V receiver section of the One Guide device settings from one of the PDF files. None of those worked.
    5. On the second users manual I opened, the very first Sony receiver code worked!
Now "Xbox on" turns on my Samsung TV, my Motorola DVR, and my Sony receiver. "Xbox volume up (and down)" changes the volume, and "Xbox mute" works as well.
I should also mention that the codes for my TV and DVR all have a one-letter, 4-digit format. However, when I was entered the Sony receiver codes one by one, I only entered the 4 digits in the universal remote manuals I found during my internet search.
So in MY case, no letters were needed in the receiver code that worked.
    I hope this helps someone.
