Sonic generation won't start

I downloaded sonic generations to xbox 1. It starts up OK but when the start screen comes up and I press the controller nothing happens. The controller works fine otherwise. Any ideas why and what I can do? Thanks

Some things you can try if you haven't already:

1. Close the game. Press Menu, then select Quit.

2. Restart the console.

One of those two things usually does the trick.

SMG Berserk

What you may have to do is a Soft Console Reset. This will clean your Xbox 1's Memory and OS. I highly recommend that you keep your email and password available. Because once your reset is finished you will need it to log in. Once logged in you will need
to reinstall all games that you have had on your console.

Hi, I uninstalled and reinstalled but same problem. The game loads up fine, I press the controller to take me to start page but it won't work from there. Any suggestions?

The controller works fine for everything else.

Thanks for reaching out to Xbox forums support. I'm sorry to hear about the start up issues that you're having with your Sonic game. Are you having any issues with any other games or just Sonic?

I would first suggest uninstalling / reinstalling the game again one more time. Perhaps the game did not install properly or the game update did not complete 100%.
