Sonic Frontiers save file missing

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help or had this issue.

I got Sonic Frontiers a few months ago and played through a fair bit of it (I think I was on the third or fourth island?) but then I stopped playing it for awhile to do other things. I decided to try and come back to it tonight, but there’s an issue.

I load up the game and there isn’t an option to continue the game.

The when I go manage game it says there’s save data but for whatever reason it’s not showing up in the game when I load it (and I uninstalled and reinstalled to see if that would work, it didn’t).

The only thing that I can think of is I started the game on Xbox One and now I’m using an Xbox series X, but that shouldn’t make a difference right? (And nothing like this has happened for anything else I’ve played on both)

Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated, I’m really at a loss and don’t want to start ot all over again!

Does the issue happen to other games or just this one?

Do you still have the Xbox One? Are you able to play the game there just fine?

Let's try to clear the game's local data on your Series X to see if that fixes the issue.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide and then select My games & apps > See all > Games.
Highlight the game title, and then press the Menu button on your controller.
Select Manage game and add-ons > Saved data.
Select Delete all to remove the local save of this game, then follow the prompts.
After you delete the local save, restart your Xbox:
Press and hold the Xbox button in the centre of your controller.
Select Restart console, then follow the prompts.

Yes, because if the saved game are still on our Xbox console it will just automatically sync.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

For cases like this what we initially need to do is to quit the game and perform power cycle in that way once you launch the game your in-game data will just re-sync.

Kindly quit the game and follow the steps below before you re-launch the game.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

"1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. "
