  1. Son Henry suspended for 7 days

Hi, I am a parent of an 10 year old boy that has an XBOX and uses XBOX live. The account is under my email. He was suspended yesterday for 7 days. He said a friend got angry with him during a game and reported him. I read the suspension paragraph
which gives lots of general possible behavior reasons as to why he was suspended. I'm just trying to get down to the bottom of why and know specifics. Did he use harsh language? Does language have to be profane to get suspended? He is a very good student.
He has never has any behavioral issues at school and just won the good citizens award. He keeps his door open and I listen to him play xbox. Yes. He does get loud but I have never heard him say a cuss word. I ask his older brother (who would love to have
dirt on him, haha) but he said he's never heard Henry use foul language either (while playing XBOX or otherwise). I looked on his account. His reputation is all good (GREEN) and has always been green (according to the graph). He hasn't sent bad messages
either. He's never reported anyone. I did see one message from 13 months ago when a person sent a foul language message to Henry. (which kinda makes me want to take him off XBOX altogether). Please understand. I am not angry with the XBOX disciplinary
protocol...however I just want to know the specifics of the behavior so that I can better address the situation with my child and know whether or not I can let him return to XBOX play...or maybe wait until he is older. Any help and/or constructive advice
is appreciated. As a parent I do not want bad behavior to go unpunished...but details are needed to understand the next coarse of action.

    :)

    Hey there!

Glad to hear you were able to submit the Case Review for your son. Go ahead and wait for a response from the enforcement team, they will provide further information regarding the
    enforcement action for you.

We will be locking this thread as we would have no resolution for this specific situation. If you have further questions for us feel free to start a new thread so that we may continue to assist you.

Hopefully you can get the answers you need.

    Happy Gaming!

    Hi King,

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. Sorry to hear that your son is going through this.
There are many children who play Xbox as well and the code of conduct is set in place to encourage good sportsmanship and positive communication; however, it does happen sometimes that people will get reported (even by friends) out of spite, but
usually if there are no grounds for suspension, the Enforcement team will not respond. In this case, they would have needed to find some sort of offense to enact the ban. Sadly, there is no way to know what that would be as we here on the forums don't have
access to that information. The only way to reach the Enforcement team is via their website, https://enforcement.xbox.com.

(Side note: Enforcement does not Post, Read, or Comment on Forums nor can support offer assistance.)
Here is more info concerning the Code: Code of Conduct: Microsoft’s Code of Conduct Explained for Xbox Live Customers

In this case, since its a suspension for over 24 hours, I would recommend taking a go at filing a Case Review to see if the suspension may be removed from his account. If not, then he would simply need to ride it out. In general, its a good rule to not engage
anyone who may be a toxic player, as well as Report, Block and Ignore them if possible.

Give the case review a try and see what happens.

I hope that this information helps you out!

I just submitted the request for review using the same language as my above post. Hopefully they will give me good information. I want to parent correctly in this situation...and also be fair...since Henry works so hard at school and is known for having a
particularly good sportsmanship on his football team. I do know kids make mistakes and if he did behave wrongly, I want to address that!

For information about his suspension and to see about submitting a case review, you would need to go to http://enforcement.xbox.com The enforcement team are the only ones who handle
suspensions and they do not use the forums, so no one here could speculate on why he has been suspended.

Rep has nothing to do with suspensions. You can be green and still get a permanent ban for violating the code of conduct.
If I submit a review, can I get specific information regarding his suspension? I tried to get a review last night but was asked to take a quiz.

As already pointed out, nobody on the forums can give any further details, as we have no access to Enforcement systems. It is unlikely that you will ever get to see exactly what was said either verbal or via message. The use of an acronym can get you
suspended or any language deemed threatening or harassing.
