Son getting banned. Again!

As others have said, you don't get console banned for killing people in games, if that was the case everyone who played CoD would get console banned.

You get console banned for breaking the terms of usage that you or your son agreed to when you bought the console.

Perhaps have a word with your son and ask him if he has been sending messages to other players, if so perhaps look at them (they are all stored on your console and on Microsofts servers) if he has been send offensive messages then this can get an account
banned, but shouldn't get a console ban.

Something else that can get an account ban is team killing, if your son was killing players on his own team then again that's not tolerated, even if someone else was doing it (know the saying two wrong don't make a right?)

Bungie bulit in a quit ban into the game. They were trying to keep people from quitting to often and making the game un-enjoyable be the quitters team mates. Once you quit enough games you'll get a 10 minute quit ban from MM. After you get the quit ban
you be on probation for a couple days. Thus if your son quits again he'll get another ban again for only 10 minutes. He'll still be able to play after the Temp ban is served.

Enforcements (account bans and such) can only be actioned by the enforcement team, when a player breaches the Community Standards. Someone blocking your sons alone account cannot get them banned.

I strongly recommend your son block their accounts on Xbox also, this can be done by navigating to the players profile and he will see an option to block on the right hand side menu. If your son recieves bad behaviour or harrassment from this player via
Xbox Live also, you can report that profile again in the same place you block the account. If for any reason malicious report against your son is placed and leads to a ban, as long as the ban is more than 24 hours, he can ask for a Case review where the team
will look at the circumstances more in depth.

Please reassure your son that the person from school cannot get him banned merely by repeatedly blocking him!! That person chatting rubbish!!

youre son is not in the wrong. he had no idea what was going on and got baited to get com banned. guy in blue should get the ban

No it doesnt on xbox my son swears once and hes banned for a month on ps4 he can say anything and not get banned
