    son can't send a game invite


    My son has a live gold child account. He has a friend who can play minecraft online and has sent him an invite. My son attempts to join the game and gets the error: can't join game as he has no friends playing.

    He is unable to send invites as the option is "greyed out"

    He can join a party, voicechat and message his friend - he just can't play minecraft online with him

    I have wasted about 2 hrs with online chat help and I have been through my and my son's privacy settings - all seems fine a MS employee also thought that the settings were fine

    Anyone know how to sort this?

    Can't get invites or send invites?

    Oh that is a common issue. Do is it say you play list is older than the host? Tell everyone in your lobby to restart the game and make a new lobby. That usually works, I've had this issue occasionally in every Cod since 4.

    It certainly sounds like the privacy settings have been adjusted. Have you check this link for your son?

    account.xbox.com/Settings

    Be sure that you're signing in with the parental account to make any changes on the 360 option

    As far as I can see theses settings should not prevent him sending a friend an invite on Minecraft on xbox 360

    Thanks. Can you then head to Settings>Privacy or Settings>Family on the console to ensure that they are set up to allow this as well?

    Can't send invite to game

    Hello @Robert777_331! I hope that you are doing well!

    Thank you for reaching out to us here on the forums regarding this situation.

    If you’re having trouble joining an Xbox Live party, someone in the party might have a Network Address Translation (NAT) problem. To find out, have everyone in the party test their Xbox Live connection. Here’s how:

    1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to settings, and then select System Settings.
    2. Select Network Settings.
    3. Select Wired Network or your wireless network name (if you're prompted to do so).
    4. Select Test Xbox Live Connection.
    5. If you’re signed in to a profile, select Yes when notified that testing your network connection will sign everyone out, and then select Continue.

    I am having a similar issue. I have one person that I can't invite and they can't invite me. I constantly get a message: Notice

    Same here - playing EA NHL Legacy on Xbox 360 - can't send game invites. Can't send any messages on Xbox 360. Can join another person's party by going to their profile and clicking join party, but can't send or receive a party invite. Even if they are in a joinable game though, the "Join Game" option does not appear on their profile, so without game invites there's no way for us to play a game together. This is awful - any fix soon?
