    Son can't play multiplayer on my xbox one


    Okay, here's the issue I'm having. My son, who has his own xobx live account and xbox one. Cannot play multiplayer when he's at my house on my xbox one. It's not just For Honor that he's having this issue with. For Honor is just his current favorite game.
    He's tried playing Titan Fall 2 multiplayer and Halo Multiplayer and none of them work. The issue is, they used to work. I've checked all the permissions on his account on my xbox one and it's wide open. He's got the same permissions on my xbox one as I do.
    Why can he no longer play multiplayer when he's logged into his xbox live account while on my xbox one?

    This is the error that shows up and keep in mind that I have checked and re-checked his permissions on my xbox one.

    " Matchmaking requires an Xbox live subscription with permission to play multi-player over live"

    He has no issues playing multiplayer while at his home and playing on his own xbox one.

    Do I have to PAY for a gold account to play live?

    Just got my son an xbox one for Christmas, also bought him Call of Duty Advanced Warfare. He's trying to play multiplayer but it says he can't play live.

    Do I have to pay more money so he can play live?

    Sorry to hear it. It sounds like he doesn't actually have his own Xbox Live membership but is sharing on his console. An account that has a Gold membership would need to be set as Home on the console he is playing on or he would need to have his own membership
    in order for him to take advantage of multiplayer benefits.

    You can check the status of his membership by logging in to account.microsoft.com and clicking on services and subscriptions.

    he does have his own account, gamertag and all. he can play multiplayer at his house but when he's at my place and logs in wit his gamertag on my xbox he cant play any multiplayer stuff and he used to be able to.

    It sounds like he is sharing xbox live gold and dos not have xbox live gold on his account

    Have you tried with Human Fall Flat? I can only play online multiplayer with one player per xbox. I would love to play with my son online with friends, but I can't seem to get it to work.
