    Son cannot leave a beta version of Minecraft Win 10


    Hello all! I had the Minecraft beta so I could see how RTX looked in Minecraft (Win 10). I don't play a lot but my daughter wanted to make a world I could play with her. When I loaded in, she said I can't play with her with the beta version as she learned trying to play with her brother. I did the insider disable, uninstalled, re-installed and it didn't work. I read further in and ran the PowerShell script, uninstalled and re-installed (which I had my son do on his PC as well). Mine worked, his did not. When he goes into the "Insider Hub" it says he is not 18 and doesn't give him the means to stop installing the beta.

    The whole thing seems kind of sloppy to me, utilize the hub to gain permission to install the Beta but also allow simultaneous Minecraft standard edition installation. Not an either-or with terrible hoops to jump through to switch. It really makes me question if worth the headache to assist in beta tests, testing the software is fine but if the entire platform is a mess making testing more frustrating than it should be. This brings me back to my problem with my son's PC and his copy of Minecraft which he can't play with friends due to the Beta being locked in his computer. Has anyone been able to figure out how to undo this? Any insight would be appreciated, thanks!

    I cannot join my friend on windows 10 minecraft.

    Not sure if it is still possible but you might have different versions. When I downloaded the Minecraft better together beta on my one. I could not join my windows 10 version until I downloaded the beta for win 10 version also. You or your friend might have
    the win 10 version while the other has the new better together version of Minecraft.

    Hi!

    Try these steps to leave Minecraft Beta:

    1. Open the Xbox Insider Hub app and unenroll from the beta.
    2. Uninstall Minecraft.
    3. Power cycle Xbox console by holding down the power button until the console turns off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the console back on.
    4. Reinstall Minecraft from the Ready to Install section of Games & Apps.

    Your son is playing on the official release channel for Minecraft. His 1.12 version is currently the latest official version, whereas his friends have joined the Insider Program and are playing a beta test version of Minecraft.

    His friends can either un-enroll from the Beta Insider Program, or you son can try to join the Insider Program and update his Minecraft to a beta version.

    Be aware however, that beta version still contain untested parts, and the game can crash, malfunction and in turn destroy worlds if an error occurs.

    If your son is still willing to test the Beta, he can download the free Insider app from the store, and join the Minecraft Beta.

    Then he'll have to download/update his Minecraft to the newer beta version.

    you or one of you friends might have a beta version of Minecraft. if so leave the Insider program for the Beta version of Minecraft and then you might be able to play together. in the Insider hub app on xbox
